Scouts is a fantastic organisation. Hunter’s Camping & Bushcraft School is however different in it nature as it offers a more focused style of outdoor learning, centred on practical bushcraft, self-reliance, and time in nature. Our small-group programs are designed for kids and adults who want hands-on skills, personal growth, and a supportive environment to build confidence. If you’re also considering Scouts, the skills learned here will help you walk into that experience feeling capable and confident.

Both parents are welcome to attend. There is a small additional fee, charged at 50 percent off, and this includes a meal.

Andrew holds a Working With Children Check and carries extensive outdoor and safety training.

Andrew has years of experience in Scouts during his youth, Army Cadets, is a qualified first aider, has over ten years in Surf Life Saving Clubs, and is trained as both a 4WD instructor and a survival instructor with Australian Survival Instructors.

Comprehensive first aid gear is always on hand, suitable for bushcraft and outdoor environments.

Reception is available at times depending on the location. Satellite communication is carried for safety and emergencies.

A 4WD is preferable but not essential. Directions and access notes will be provided so you know what to expect.

We do our best to be inclusive, however the nature of the terrain means there is no wheelchair access and participants need to be able to hike. If you or your child has specific needs, please get in touch so we can discuss suitability and support options.

We primarily serve meals that include meat products. You’re welcome to bring your own food, and we’ll do our best to accommodate reasonable dietary needs where possible.

Yes, carers are welcome. Please contact us beforehand so we can ensure the program is suitable and make any necessary arrangements.

Yes, bushcraft involves the safe and supervised use of knives and other tools. Safety is our highest priority, and all participants are taught correct handling and respect for equipment.

We provide dinner however please bring along your own breakfast and lunch ( we can provide recomendations if needed).
